The knives and the tongues are out and wagging for Miley Cyrus right now. We’ve all heard the rumors; smoking pot, breast implants, ad nauseum, but Miley insists she’s a good role model for normal American girls – and indeed girls everywhere. Finding tickets to tween concerts isn’t quite the exciting prospect it was when Miley launched her amazing “Best of Both Worlds” concert tour as alter-ego Hannah Montana back in late-2007. Hannah Montana changed everything for tween concerts, for concert tickets, for kids and parents everywhere. Nobody was prepared for the huge response to the tour, which ran for a year, until the end of 2008. While the likes of Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber and Katy Perry now frequently sell out the arenas where they perform, they must look back on the girl from Nashville, Tennessee as the original blockbuster on the tween concert circuit. It’s true, there were childhood and teen stars before Hanah Montana came along, but nobody shook up the live concert scene quite like the daughter of Billie Ray Cyrus. The gossip mills are set to maximum crank and the stories are just gonna keep coming as long as Miley’s out there. At a time when fellow tween star David Archuleta has announced his intention to join a Mormon mission and spread the good word, Miley is acquiring a reputation as a party girl. One thing’s for sure; Miley wants you to join the party, so be on the lookout for her new album, out soon!

Miley Cyrus is the latest artist to diss clothing giant Urban Outfitters. After a firestorm broke out online because artist Stevie Koerner claimed the store stole his designs but didn’t properly or at all attribute them to him, hundreds of people began tweeting their anger and dislike.

When Miley found out, she tweeted, “Love that everybody is hating on Urban Outfitters…. Not only do they steal from artists but every time you give them money you help finance a campaign against gay equality. #SHADYASHELL.”

Obviously, Cyrus is still angry over the chain store contributing 9,676.94€ to the anti-gay former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum. Miley Cyrus has never hidden her emotions or thoughts by trying to be polite. Her take on Urban Outfitters is the same as hundred and no doubt, their profits will suffer because of it. Miley Cyrus is on the move again. Last week, she headed to Nashville for a family wedding and brought her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth along with her. Now, Miley and Liam are in Haiti spreading a little love to children in the poverty-stricken  country. This is the second trip to Haiti for Miley. She has been working with Starkey Hearing Foundation to help provide hearing aids to kids who would never be able to afford them on their own.

The young singer tweeted her arrival to the country on Tuesday, “In Haiti with @Starkey hearing.” The foundation responded with, “We are so lucky to have you here Miley.” This trip is most likely part of the winning package she won at a charity auction for the group earlier this summer. Back then she tweeted, “Going back to Haiti  . Just bid at the @starkeyhearing gala and it’s confirmed! I am so excited! Bringing all my friends this time. #blessed.” Miley followed through with her promise and brought her boyfriend and several other friends on her trip this time. That auction helped raise 5.36€ million for the cause.

Miley met with President of Haiti, Michael Martelly shortly after landing in the country. The two joined together to open the Lully Community School in Arcahaie. Miley wore a comfortable t-shirt and black leggings for the event. She sat with some of the young students who will be fortunate enough to attend the school. Liam attended the school opening as well and beamed as he congratulated his girlfriend for all her hard work.

It is amazing to see how much good Miley really does.  For whatever reason, she is not given quite as much glory and press as some other celebrities, but she does it all anyways. That is the best kind of charity giver, one who is not just trying to look good in the press. Her celebrity status is a bit tarnished in the United States due to some ultra-conservative views, but regardless of her teenage mistakes, she clearly has a heart of gold. Her attention to the cause will hopefully bring in more donations and possibly attract the attention of other celebrities.

The one and only Disney Queen shut down Disneyland park for her 16th birthday (2008)! 

In a boisterous festivity, only the Teen Queen herself could host, Cyrus celebrated her hallmark 16th birthday an October 5th, three years ago. The over-the-top Disneyland celebration included a four-song performance by the iconic superstar and a fireworks display above the Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Organizers estimated over 5,000 people attended the special party, which cost 186.09€ a ticket, and throughout the evening, the party-goers got to enjoy several popular attractions, such as Big Thunder Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean. David Archuleta, Steve Carell, Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Heather Locklear and this community’s favorite, Demi Lovato, were among the lucked out celebrities invited to the exclusive soirée. (Lovato probably paid for her ticket).

Miley got a Maltipoo puppy (i.e. a cross between a Maltese and a poodle). She said it’s the best birthday present she got. “He’s precious,” she told MTV News. She added that she couldn’t think of a better place to celebrate her birthday. “[I can't wait to] ride rides, duh! And celebrating with my friends,” she said. “We’re just excited!”

ey guys, I just got back from giving the gift of hearing with the Starkey Hearing Foundation in Haiti. Please help my friends at Starkey Hearing Foundation and their Listen Carefully campaign to promote safe hearing by answering these questions.

1. Have you ever had difficulty hearing your teacher during class?

2. Knowing that teens have an increased risk of hearing loss as a result of using mp3s and iPods at too high a volume, would you take the Starkey Hearing Foundation’s Listen Carefully “Vow to Act” and lower the volume on your player to help protect your hearing?

3. Would you be willing to pass this advice along to your friends, and encourage them to take a “Vow to Act” in order to protect their hearing?
